DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join a Swiss Investment Bank within the global Center of Excellence Software Solutions team. This is a great opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical systems in a collaborative, international environment while driving modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Champion standardization and automation across applications and infrastructure.
• Drive onboarding of applications to the cloud-native stack and teams to common platforms (e.g. observability frameworks).
• Support and foster a strong engineering culture across global teams.
• Maintain and enhance shared platforms within GPS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the future software solutions strategy.
• Operate and support critical business systems globally, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Software Engineering roles.
• Strong CI/CD expertise (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven).
• Proficient in scripting (bash) and working on Linux infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployments and distributed architectures.
• Experience with Azure Application Platform (AKS).
• Development background (Java, .NET, Scala, Python, or JavaScript).
• Solid knowledge of communication stacks (RabbitMQ, Kafka, gRPC, WebSockets).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, ElasticSearch, Fluent-bit, OpenTelemetry).
• Strong understanding of security topics (OAuth 2.0, TLS, vulnerability scanning).
• Proficiency in designing architecture and writing code for microservices and distributed applications.
