Network Engineer

LaSalle Network is partnered with a leading financial services organization seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This role requires deep technical expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain global network infrastructure to support business operations.
• Configure and troubleshoot WAN technologies, including MPLS, IPSEC VPN, and SD-WAN.
• Administer and optimize routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and VLAN.
• Develop and implement network security solutions, including NextGen firewalls and SSL decryption.
• Support cloud networking environments, including AWS (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connects) and Azure (Vnet, VPN GWs, ExpressRoute).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact network solutions.
• Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues to ensure system reliability.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and architectural design planning.
• Manage vendor relationships and procure network equipment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management frameworks.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Expertise in WAN technologies and routing/switching protocols.
• Strong working knowledge of network security tools and practices, including firewalls and Radius/TACACS.
• Experience with cloud networking in AWS and Azure environments.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network packets and LAN/WAN devices.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or PCNSE (preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 base + 15-20% bonus
