Job Description
A Government entity in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud CoE). This is a 6-month extendable contract role with a focus on delivering enterprise-grade cloud solutions, infrastructure services, and modern workplace implementations.
The Engineer is responsible for implementation, and configuration of Azure cloud services, Microsoft Infrastructure servicesincluding Active directory, exchange, etc, and Modern workplace including O365 services.
Responsibilities
- Implement and configure Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure
- Manage Microsoft infrastructure including Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, etc.
- Deploy and support Microsoft Modern Workplace tools including O365, Intune, Microsoft Defender
- Design and deliver high-level and low-level architecture documentation (HLD/LLD)
- Execute cloud migration strategies and ensure secure, scalable cloud environments
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, sysadmins, and developers for successful project delivery
- Optimize performance and ensure reliability, availability, and security of cloud infrastructure
- Monitor cloud systems, identify issues, and implement improvements
- Provide hands-on guidance and act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Azure implementations
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Azure and DevOps
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in Azure implementation and infrastructure engineering
- Solid background in Microsoft infrastructure services: AD, Exchange, WSUS, DNS, ADFS, DHCP
- Hands-on with Azure PaaS, IaaS, SaaS services
- Proven experience with O365, Intune, and Microsoft Defender
- Knowledge of cloud migration, security, performance tuning
- Scripting experience: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM, Bicep
- Familiar with Azure Site Recovery, DR, and replication tools
- Understanding of DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Certifications (Required):
- AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- (Preferred): DevOps Engineer Expert
