As a Network Engineer at ONEXP, you’ll build and support reliable, secure networks tailored to the unique demands of superyachts. Working with technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, storage solutions, Wi-Fi, and routing hardware, you will ensure onboard systems run smoothly both remotely and on-site. This role offers hands-on exposure and growth opportunities on international projects—ideal for someone ready to take their career to sea and beyond.

You will take part in the IT Infrastructure projects that are built to bring our astonishing Audiovisual solutions to life.

Our projects involve:

• The design, deployment, and maintenance of the Cisco core, distribution, and access layer switches in a highly available topology.
• Ensuring redundancy and failover for the network core using 40 Gb links and best practices for critical infrastructure.
• Managing, configuring, and optimizing large-scale wireless infrastructures with 600+ access points, leveraging centralized controllers.
• Monitoring of network performance and proactively resolving of issues to guarantee uptime and user satisfaction.
• Performing firmware updates, hardware replacements, and documentation for all network components.
• Plan and execute network expansions and upgrades to support evolving needs.

Your background

• Proven experience with Cisco switches (core, distribution, and access) and wireless solutions in large environments.
• Strong understanding of redundant topologies, VLANs, and large uplink deployments (>20Gb).
• Hands-on expertise with wireless controller management and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with PoE budgeting, high-density Wi-Fi planning, and centralized network management tools.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Your English is excellent in writing and speaking. Preferably you speak Dutch.

About half of the work we do is outside of the Netherlands. Frequent internal travel is required for this role whereby you will be abroad during some weekdays but back home in the weekend. Places we travel often to are in Spain, France, Germany and Turkey.
