About the role:
Are you a hands-on Infrastructure & DevOps Developer ready to take on a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a skilled professional to join our team in Melbourne for a 6-month contract, working on critical systems that support national infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage Linux systems, users, groups, and permissions.
- Perform file system and backup management, including RAID configuration.
- Oversee server performance, security, and reliability.
- Work with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor cluster health and performance using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, ELK.
- Integrate with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Support messaging systems (Apache ActiveMQ, Kafka).
- Configure and troubleshoot network interfaces, services, and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP).
- Implement OS patching and security best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to triage and resolve issues within SLA.
- Apply Zero Trust cybersecurity principles.
Desirable Experience:
- Privileged access management tools (Centrify, CyberArk, Azure AD).
- Kubernetes management tools (kubectl, Lens, OpenLens).
- Electric Utility or Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) domain experience.
