GTS Group is seeking an experienced Space Operations Manager on behalf of a leading space technology company. This role is central to planning, executing, and optimizing in-space mission operations, ensuring payload infrastructure, systems, and customer payloads operate safely and effectively from pre-launch through post-mission analysis.

Key Responsibilities for the Space Operations Manager

• Lead end-to-end mission operations, from planning through real-time execution and debrief.
• Develop and implement mission operations procedures, playbooks, and standards.
• Coordinate mission readiness across payloads, ground control, and software systems.
• Manage TT&C architecture and operational interfaces for spacecraft and hosted payloads.
• Act as the operational point of contact for customers during mission execution.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks; lead anomaly response and recovery efforts.
• Oversee integration of ground segment infrastructure and mission control systems.
• Deliver mission performance reporting and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5–7 years’ experience in mission operations, spacecraft control, or payload management.
• Strong knowledge of mission planning tools, TT&C systems, and operational workflows.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage real-time mission events.
• Experience in startup or NewSpace environments is a plus.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent coordination and communication skills
