Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our client in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud architecture, automation, and operations, with a proven track record of supporting and optimizing complex AWS environments. This is a hybrid onsite/remote role based in Luxembourg with a potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the AWS Cloud environment, ensuring high performance, stability, and scalability.
- Enhance and automate cloud data platform services by applying best DevOps practices.
- Provide Tier 2 operational support for AWS services and cloud processes critical to energy operations.
- Collaborate closely with architects and business stakeholders to design and implement cloud-native solutions (containers, microservices, APIs).
- Maintain and enforce cloud security and compliance policies, including governance, identity, and access management.
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant IT/cloud experience.
- AWS Certification (at least Associate level; Professional level preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS, etc.).
- Proven background in cloud automation and DevOps methodologies (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Fluency in English and French.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the energy sector or other critical infrastructure industries.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
