Android Application Developer (Full-stack) - Infotainment

We are currently seeking an experienced Android Application Developer to join our customer’s team in Gothenburg. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation infotainment systems based on Android Automotive OS, supporting the transformation of the in-car digital experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for automotive infotainment platforms.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practices in software development.
• Cooperate closely with internal stakeholders, UX designers, and external partners such as Google.

Required Skills

• M.Sc. or a B.Sc. degree in computer sciences, electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent
• Background in embedded systems or the automotive industry.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS.
• Experience from Volvo Cars
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android development using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVP, and clean architecture.
• Good Experience with Android testing frameworks such as Junit, Espresso, Mockito and Python scripting.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools (e.g., Gradle), and CI/CD pipelines.
