Senior Embedded Linux & Security Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Embedded Linux & Security Engineer to join an advanced development assignment within an international, technology-driven environment based in Lund.

You will become part of an experienced engineering team working closely across platform, software, and security domains in complex embedded environments. The role offers a high level of technical ownership and the opportunity to contribute throughout the full development lifecycle, from architecture and design to implementation, testing, and quality assurance.

About the Role

In this role, you will work on the development of security features for Linux-based embedded systems with high demands on quality, robustness, and performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute both technically and strategically within the embedded security domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end security features in embedded Linux environments
• Design and implement security solutions
• Perform threat modelling and security reviews
• Programming, code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate and share knowledge with other development teams
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools

We are looking for someone with

• Several years of experience in embedded software development using C
• Strong experience with Linux-based embedded systems
• Experience with Yocto Linux
• Good knowledge of systemd and D-Bus
• Experience with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and certificate handling
• Experience working with security in embedded environments
• Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

Meritorious

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in security architecture and threat modelling
• Background from product development companies
• Strong interest in modern security solutions and embedded innovation
