VASS BeNeLux, in partnership with the European Commission, is currently seeking an Expert Enterprise Architect 26881 to work from the European Commission.

The role:

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

• Assistance with creating architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and

goals.

• Assistance with integrating the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with

business

• strategies and drivers, and management priorities.

• Assistance with identifying ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency of IT systems.

• Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities

• Conduct research to find ways to improve system operations.

• Provide architectural and systems processing guidance.

• Assistance with creating and implementing a business vision and multi-year plan.

• Drafting documentation

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• Ability to work autonomously, managing his/her own workload independently, providing status

• updates, liaising with others and escalating issues as appropriate.

• Knowledge of defining and implementing strategies.

• Ability to combine many different skills and experiences to address and solve business,

information,

• and technology related opportunities and problems.

• Experience with architecture best practices and goals.

• Excellent leadership and conciliation skills.

• Communications skills, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.: reports,

• articles, etc.).

• Analysis and design skills.

• Knowledge of modelling and graphical representations and abstractions.

• Knowledge of architecture frameworks, OOD patterns, architectural patterns.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies, Java Enterprise applications and web services.

• Experience in the use of Atlassian collaborative tools (like Confluence and Jira).

• Capability to write clear and structured documents.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

• At least 3 years of experience with

o Hibernetes

o JMS

o Spring

o Spring Integration

o Oracle RDBMS

o Soap UI

o Web Services

o EJB; Docker

• Very good experience/knowledge of the eTrustEx Node.
