Are you an experienced Java Backend Engineer looking for your next long-term opportunity in Amsterdam? Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled developer to join their team and help build reliable, high-quality backend systems that power key business applications.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend solutions using Java
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA) to deliver scalable applications
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java backend development
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot
• Familiarity with CI/CD, RESTful services, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Dutch speaking (required)
• Experience with Angular or React.js is a plus, but not mandatory
