Business Analyst

Assignment description:

We are looking for a Business Analyst for our client in the banking sector.

We are looking for an external business analyst to join one of the key commercial initiatives in the bank relaunching an existing product with an updated value proposition in the Finnish market:

Allocation: 100%

Assignment start date: 20.10.2025

Duration: 29.5.2026

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Location: Helsinki

Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Finnish language a benefit.

Responsibilities within this role:

• Convert rulebooks, API specifications, application guidelines, and customer/business needs into clear requirements (business, functional, non-functional, and compliance) working closely with development teams
• Create and refine capabilities/features/user stories according to hub guidelines for artefact readiness and acceptance
• Groom backlog items
• Support product managers and product owners in collaboration with various stakeholders such as legal, compliance and risk, e.g. updating terms and conditions
• Provide visibility to product manager/product owner on status, blockers and next steps
• Keep documentation up-to-date and track progress of requirements, tasks and decisions
• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions, and document discussions, decisions, open issues, and action points
• Map end to end business flows as needed
• Help find common ground between units or release trains with different priorities.

Must-have knowledge and experience:

• Industry expertise around A2A retail and mobile payments
• Excellent stakeholder mgmt., communication and planning skills
• Previous working experience as a business analyst
• Demonstrated ability to document requirements
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to work well under pressure
• English language skills

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of POS and card payments
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 standards
• Knowledge of SEPA Request-to-Pay (SRTP)
• Knowledge of e-invoicing and Finvoice standards
• Good understanding of large scale end-to-end payment integrations
• Previous experience as an IT analyst
• Previous experience launching new products
• Finnish language skills considered a big benefit
