Sqills is building S3 Passenger, a cutting-edge platform for the public transport industry. The platform offers a wide range of features and capabilities to improve the passenger experience and increase operational efficiency for our customers.
Siemens Mobility is operating a Software Development Center in Aveiro, targeting Intelligent Solutions for the future of Mobility. We want you to join our team in the capacity of: Golang Developer (m/f/d).
Your role
- Be part of one of the Agile DevOps teams. Teams consist of combination of Developers, Testers and Product Owner. As a team, you are responsible for the complete development and management cycle.
- Work on (backend) microservices in the AWS Cloud. Because you work with software that handles hundreds of requests per second (high performance), your work continues to be challenging.
- Some of the things you are responsible for are include: Designing and implementing microservices for S3 Passenger & Translating functionalities into software solutions and bridging the gap between desired functionality and technical solution;
- You will closely work with our dynamic and agile IMS teams from HaCon and eos.uptrade. Occasional business travel to the Netherlands and/or other locations may be required.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or similar degree and experience in web - or backend development.
- Experience with Java, Go, Kotlin or Rust, JavaScript.
- Experience with SaaS applications, experience with microservice architecture is a plus.
- Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
- Experience with the build / deployment pipeline.
- Passionate about the following concepts: serverless, monitoring, secure development, high performance and high availability.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence is a plus.
- Good communication skills in English valuable other languages.
We are also looking for professionals familiar with the use of generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini), capable of applying these technologies to increase efficiency, support data analysis, and improve the quality of deliverables in R&D and project contexts.
Desirable Technical Requirements:
Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) applied to productivity and data analysis, preferably in:
- Practical day-to-day application: using AI to draft and review texts, generate ideas, structure presentations, automate repetitive tasks, and synthesize large volumes of information.
- AI-assisted data analysis: using tools with integrated AI to interpret dashboards, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Critical interaction with AI systems: knowing how to formulate instructions (prompts), assess the quality of generated responses, and apply critical thinking to validate and adapt results to the project context.
- Technological curiosity and openness to continuous learning.
- Critical thinking and adaptability to new digital tools.
- Proactivity in identifying improvement opportunities using AI.
