💳 About the Company

A licensed card issuer is launching a new Card Issuing Division.

We are developing an MVP B2B platform for issuing and managing virtual banking cards.

Our architecture is built on an API-FIRST approach — a unified API gateway enables smooth and secure partner integrations.

📌 Key Responsibilities

Design system architecture and define API solutions.

Select technologies and approaches within the chosen stack.

Translate business requirements into technical tasks, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Contribute to backend/API development and third-party integrations.

Conduct code reviews and mentor developers.

Lead and manage an outsourced development team, maintaining high delivery and code quality.

Collaborate closely with the Product Manager on sprint planning and prioritization.

Participate in infrastructure development, integrations, and system scalability improvements.

📌 Requirements

5+ years of hands-on commercial experience with PHP.

Proven experience as a Team Lead managing developers.

1+ year of experience in Card Issuing within the Payment industry (EU or Global).

Deep understanding of DDD, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal, and Onion principles.

Experience with asynchronous data processing, high-availability systems, distributed monoliths, and microservices.

Strong grasp of OWASP vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.

Familiarity with the following tech stack:

Docker, Kubernetes (K8S), Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, TigerBeetle, gRPC + protobuf, Grafana, Laravel Octane, Fiber/Echo, ELK or Loki + Promtail.

Optional: WireGuard + Firezone, Prometheus, Sentry, Jaeger.

Tools: Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Slack).

Languages: Fluent English and Native Russian.
