Senior Java Developer – Oslo

We’re seeking a seasoned Java Developer (5+ years) to join a forward-thinking Oslo-based team working on a cloud platform that aggregates, visualises and automates insight from energy and operational data (dashboards, cost allocation, reporting, API integrations).

What you’ll be doing

• Design, build, maintain backend services in Java supporting data collection, quality checks, analytics, and dashboards.
• Develop and consume APIs; integrate with external systems.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, reliability, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with front-end, product, operations teams; contribute to architecture decisions.
• Write unit/integration tests; support CI/CD practices.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong experience with frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design.
• Experience with data-processing, dealing with large datasets, data quality.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment, version control, and build/CI pipelines.
• Problem-solver, self-motivated, good communicator.
• Fluent English and Norwegian
