YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Back-End Engineer to join our dynamic team as we shape the future of accounting. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work at pace and have a strong technical background and problem-solving skills. We are currently seeking a Backend Software Engineer (.NET) to take responsibility for building, enhancing, and maintaining products or systems that support Sage’s business plans and long-term objectives, using the identified architecture. You will leverage your experience in developing .NET API Domain Services to build flexible, scalable, and resilient products in a cross-functional environment.

YOUR TASKS

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient back-end systems and APIs
• Collaborate with testers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• 2.5+ years of experience in a backend developer role
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, practices, and procedures for complex assignments
• Proficiency in .NET C#
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server)
• Familiarity with API tools such as Postman or similar (Bruno experience is a bonus)
• Experience with AWS or Azure
• Understanding of behaviour-driven development (BDD) testing and test automation techniques
• Experience with Agile, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
• Self-motivated and proactive, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher)
