Embedded Software Developer (C) – Automotive | 100% Remote

RSB Automotive Consulting is a specialized recruitment partner within the automotive industry. We support our clients across the entire V-model - from system engineering and requirements gathering through implementation, testing, validation, and project management. Our projects cover key automotive domains such as ADAS, Autonomous Driving, EV systems, Infotainment, and comfort features (HUD, CMS).

For one of our German clients, we are currently looking for three Embedded Software Developers (2 Junior and 1 Mid/Senior) to join their development team working on next-generation automotive software components.

About The Role

As an Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and integration of embedded software modules in C for automotive ECUs. You will work within a structured ASPICE environment, developing software in accordance with AUTOSAR standards and collaborating closely with system, architecture, and test teams. This role involves creating and maintaining software specifications, ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards, and using tools like DOORS, Polarion, and Vector Informatics.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate embedded software components in C
• Design software architecture in UML according to ASPICE requirements
• Write and maintain software specifications under DOORS or Polarion
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR (RTE conform) standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full V-model
• Perform debugging, verification, and validation activities
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvements
  
  

Your profile

• Experience in Embedded Software Development (C language)
• Previous automotive industry experience or understanding of automotive frameworks
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, ASPICE Level 2, and UML-based architecture
• Familiarity with Vector Informatics tools (CANoe, CANdela, Developer, etc.)
• Practical experience with DOORS or Polarion
• Good command of English (German is an advantage)
