This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.

Responsibilities

The Network Operations team is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Ford’s global infrastructure. This includes Local Area Network (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Software Defined Networks, Wireless, Policy/Security Controls for Ford datacenters, network hubs/colos, manufacturing plants, office buildings, etc.

  • Lead Infrastructure projects.
  • Subject Matter Expert on Cisco Technologies.
  • Review, Install, Configure, Test and Validate Network configurations.
  • Propose / Design Standards, Processes and Procedures for Network Data Center operation.
  • Create technical deliverables including implementation plans, assessments, documentations, and trainings.
  • Drive periodic meetings with stakeholders on upcoming, ongoing and completed tasks.
  • Provide escalation level support for Critical / Major Data Center Network Deployments and Troubleshooting.
  • Manage and support Vendor partners as required (technology / hardware / software / testing / integration, etc.,)


Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in design and operation of Cisco LAN/WAN/Wireless networks in a large enterprise environment


This person requires knowledge/experience with:

  • Sound understanding of Cisco infrastructure architecture (network, storage, and hosting)
  • Tier-2/3 support experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment
  • Advanced level troubleshooting skills in Cisco routers, switches, wireless, SDWAN and SD-Access
  • Problem-solver mindset with a passion for learning new technologies; skilled in grasping the big picture, conceptualizing, developing, and implementing solutions, and partnering closely with business leaders and IT business towers
  • Experience managing large global network infrastructure projects
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable leading troubleshooting bridges with customers and vendors
  • Strong team player with multi-tasking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong documentation skills to develop knowledge-based articles for the adoption of new technologies in NetOps

This position is a range of salary grades GSR7-8 .
