IT Network Engineer

Position Summary

IT Infrastructure team member responsible for Network related aspects of the infrastructure, which encompasses Projects (from planning to post implementation), setting priorities, operational delivery, and maintenance of IT infrastructure network solutions that support the Solero Technologies business.

Responsibilities include evaluations & POCs, planning, implementation, capacity management, incident/problem management, and lifecycle management of all network infrastructure.

Works closely with other cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, quality, manufacturing, and within IT, to ensure that our IT Infrastructure network solutions effectively support our business’ evolving Information Technology needs.

Provides technical expertise in managing all aspects of network technologies.

Applies technical skills to manage an area of responsibility, while managing the budget and cost-effectiveness.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage IT infrastructure strategy relating to implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Key focus on maintaining a cohesive IT infrastructure network plan across the Solero Technologies global footprint.
• Maintain and execute incident and problem management processes across all network infrastructure.
• Maintain an accurate asset inventory of IT infrastructure assets within a CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
• Make recommendations for solutions and technologies to help Solero Technologies remain competitive and support initiatives to digitize and automate critical business processes.
• Develop and enforce IT infrastructure network best practices, standards, and procedures to extract maximum value from IT investments.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management across networking technologies in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of datacenter architecture and implementation.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Would be an advantage:

• Hands-on experience with Extreme Networks.
• Hands-on experience with Cato Networks SASE technology or similar solutions.
• Hands-on experience with NetApp storage technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Linux technologies.
• Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server technologies.
