We’re working with a fast-growing renewable energy company in West Flanders that’s driving the transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. They’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer to help build high-performance software and data systems that support intelligent energy management across Europe.
You’ll play a key role in developing scalable backend services that power real-time analytics and decision-making. You’ll collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and energy specialists to turn complex datasets into reliable applications.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop new Python-based backend systems supporting large-scale data processing and automation.
• Build clean code with an emphasis on performance.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate software with analytics and data.
• Contribute to the design of cloud-native architectures and microservices on AWS or GCP.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and overall software quality improvements.
• Help drive growth within the engineering team as the company continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio.
Your Profile
• Strong proficiency in Python, with a focus on backend or data-oriented development.
• Experience building production-grade systems using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) — strong plus.
• Good understanding of databases, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience in the energy, utilities, or sustainability sector is a major advantage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Collaborative mindset and a passion for building impactful technology that supports the green transition.
