WE ARE LOOKING FOR Senior Android Multimedia & Certification Engineer (YTS Certification)
We are looking for Senior Android Software Engineer to our team and support our customer in the YTS Certification mission for automotive infotainment systems. You will be part of a skilled international team developing and validating Android-based media applications and frameworks within a custom AOSP environment.
Your work will focus on Android platform and framework-level development, system debugging, and ensuring compliance with Android certification standards. You will play a key role in optimizing multimedia performance and validating the platform’s media stack.
Responsibilities
We are looking for Senior Android Software Engineer to our team and support our customer in the YTS Certification mission for automotive infotainment systems. You will be part of a skilled international team developing and validating Android-based media applications and frameworks within a custom AOSP environment.
Your work will focus on Android platform and framework-level development, system debugging, and ensuring compliance with Android certification standards. You will play a key role in optimizing multimedia performance and validating the platform’s media stack.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and debug Android applications and framework components in AOSP-based systems.
- Execute and analyze Android certification tests (CTS, YTS, or similar).
- Collaborate with multimedia and platform teams to ensure compliance with system requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues across the Android stack—from applications to HAL layers.
- Work closely with hardware and SoC teams for system bring-up, flashing, and on-target debugging.
- Strong experience in Android app and framework-level development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Java/Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with AOSP and custom Android builds.
- Previous experience with Android certification tests (CTS, VTS, or similar).
- Solid understanding of Android system architecture and debugging tools.
- Experience with Android multimedia frameworks (media pipeline, codecs, audio/video processing).
- Background in automotive infotainment systems or embedded Android environments.
- Familiarity with media application development or video/audio streaming.
- Experience working with chipsets/SoCs, flashing tools, and target debugging environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in complex embedded domains.
