Network Administrator / Cisco Licensing Specialist
Onsite – Austin, TX
1 year CDW Contract Coworker opportunity
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Cisco specialist to help us untangle a mess of inventory, licensing, and device management issues. This is not a role for someone who needs to be trained — you’ll need to come in ready to work through large datasets and complex Cisco systems with minimal guidance.
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Fix device connectivity issues to Cisco CSPC (SNMP configuration adjustments required).
- Review and correct Cisco inventory tied to support contracts — this involves tracking down decommissioned devices, working through thousands of Excel entries, and coordinating with a Cisco rep.
- Clean up and reconcile Cisco licensing contracts — same messy spreadsheet-driven process, different system.
- Update and correct device/license allocation in the Cisco Software Portal (Expedia account). Must be familiar with Cisco’s licensing models and portal quirks.
- Perform remote WAN failover testing at 40+ office locations.
✅ Must-Have Experience:
- Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) knowledge
- Cisco licensing models and navigating the Cisco Software Portal
- CSPC (Cisco Collector) and SNMP configuration
- Intermediate networking knowledge (especially around Cisco hardware)
- Strong Excel skills and the patience to dig through thousands of entries
- Ability to work independently and handle repetitive, detail-heavy tasks
💡 This gig is:
- 1 year working for CDW as a Contract Coworker
- Perfect for someone who knows their way around Cisco systems and can power through cleanup tasks without constant oversight
- Critical to operations, attention to detail is important
