Kubernetes DevOps Engineer3 years Kubernetes DevOps Engineer The Kubernetes DevOps Engineer is responsible for maintaining the operational health and security of Kubernetes-based development and production environments. This includes regularly updating cluster components, container images, and dependencies to ensure compliance and resolve known vulnerabilities (CVEs). The role also involves improving CICD pipelines to streamline the delivery of secure and reliable cloud-native workloads. Team Activities Maintain and upgrade Kubernetes clusters and associated infrastructure Monitor and remediate CVEs in base images and application dependencies Rebuild and redeploy container images as part of regular maintenance Enhance and support CICD workflows for Kubernetes workloads Automate security and compliance checksCollaborate with development teams to align platform updates with application lifecyclesTroubleshoot and resolve issues affecting production workloadsDocument processes and maintain operational runbooks Required Skills Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and operations Experience with container image management (Docker, BuildKit, etc.)CICD tooling expertise (e.g., GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Concourse)Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Helm, Kustomize, Terraform)Proficient in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Go)Experience with monitoring and observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)Optional Skills Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Administrator (CKA)Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices (Pod Security, Network Policies)Experience with service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, GCP)Experience contributing to open source or upstream Kubernetes projects2
