Junior-Mid Software Engineer, Java

About The Role And The Team

Our team builds and maintains mission-critical systems that control the delivery of programmatic ad campaigns with millisecond-level responsiveness. Our infrastructure reacts in real-time to RTB (Real-Time Bidding) auction feedback, providing rapid feedback loops and intelligent control to ensure campaign efficiency and correctness.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll help develop new features, improve existing systems, and ensure platform performance and reliability. Working in a global Agile team, you’ll collaborate with skilled engineers, product managers, and leaders across multiple locations.

• Design and build mission-critical backend systems
• Ensure high-throughput and low-latency in a high-performance environment
• Bring clarity to complex business logic
• Ensure observability and correctness of real-time campaign control
• Evolve event-sourced architectures
• Work closely with other teams to identify and manage interdependencies
• Work with the following technologies, patterns, and principles: event sourcing, domain-driven design, Java 21, Aeron, Chronicle Queue/Map

• Experience in software development or individual projects
• Understanding of event-based systems
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Git and experience writing unit tests
• Strong English communication skills at an upper-intermediate level or higher
