Junior Front-End Developer (React) – Legal-Tech
Location: Amsterdam (remote-first; 1 day/week on site)
Contract: 12-month Dutch employment contract (intention to extend to indefinite)
Salary: ~€63,000 including 8% holiday allowance (+ bonus)
Benefits: 26 days holiday
About the role
Join a senior, supportive team in the legal-tech space and own front-end feature work in React. You’ll help drive a major rebrand and UI refactor while integrating the companies product into a wider platform used by global customers. Plenty of pairing, code reviews, and mentorship - ideal for a junior/medior ready to step up.
What you’ll do
- Build, ship, and iterate user-facing features in React
- Lead front-end implementation for rebrand and component refactors
- Collaborate with Design/UX on accessible, mobile-first interfaces
- Contribute clean, tested code via Git, PRs, and CI/CD
- Pair with senior full-stack engineers; share knowledge and avoid silos
- Explore AI-assisted delivery (quality, testing, release speed)
What you’ll bring
- ~3 years’ commercial front-end experience
- Solid React fundamentals; modern tooling (routing, state, build)
- Comfortable with Git, code reviews, and team workflows
- A keen eye for UX, performance, and accessibility
- Growth mindset; collaborative and coachable
Nice-to-haves
- TypeScript, Jest/RTL
- Basic exposure to Python or AWS (serverless)
- Interest in AI-enabled product development
Ways of working
Remote-first with one in-person day weekly in Amsterdam; fast feedback loops; high ownership.
