Senior Golang Engineer - Contract

New 5-month contract – Senior Golang Engineer – Sydney CBD - $900PD - 2 days a week in North Sydney

I’ve a new contract for a Senior Golang Engineer to join an online business in Sydney. You’ll be working closely with the CTO and wider engineering team on a range of data-driven programs supporting millions of customers.

They’ve built all of their core systems in Go (moving to version 1.24 soon), so recent hands-on experience with Golang is essential. You’ll be focused on improving performance, stability and scalability across their data platforms and backend services.

Tech stack: Go, AWS, IaC, TypeScript

Day to day:

- Working with Go and infrastructure at scale across data-driven systems

- Building, optimising and maintaining robust, high-traffic applications

- Partnering with backend and DevOps teams to solve complex technical problems

- Supporting data initiatives, integrating services and improving pipelines

- Collaborating with product owners and contributing to architecture discussions

This is a great role for a senior engineer who enjoys working on challenging data-focused projects, solving real technical problems, and helping teams deliver better outcomes.
