I'm looking for a talented and motivated Java professional for one of my clients in the region of Ghent who is a globally recognized supplier of technical design software. This role involves contributing to the backend development of their web-based Common Data Environment (CDE) and internal systems, working closely with an international team focused on enhancing collaboration in design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with functional analysts, product designers, and frontend teams to develop modern web applications with a strong focus on user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to established development methodologies.
• Investigate and resolve application configuration or performance issues.
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve product quality and processes.

Requirements:

• Strong Java programming skills, including Java 8 or higher, with substantial backend experience.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming, Hibernate, and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Git (GitHub) and CI/CD principles.
• Ability to write clean, structured code emphasizing best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team setting.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and a strong interest in achieving team objectives.
• Expertise in creating and utilizing RESTful APIs.
• Fluent in English.
• Preferred: Experience with Docker & Kubernetes.
