I'm looking for a talented and motivated Java professional for one of my clients in the region of Ghent who is a globally recognized supplier of technical design software. This role involves contributing to the backend development of their web-based Common Data Environment (CDE) and internal systems, working closely with an international team focused on enhancing collaboration in design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with functional analysts, product designers, and frontend teams to develop modern web applications with a strong focus on user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to established development methodologies.
- Investigate and resolve application configuration or performance issues.
- Propose and implement enhancements to improve product quality and processes.
Requirements:
- Strong Java programming skills, including Java 8 or higher, with substantial backend experience.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming, Hibernate, and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Git (GitHub) and CI/CD principles.
- Ability to write clean, structured code emphasizing best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team setting.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a strong interest in achieving team objectives.
- Expertise in creating and utilizing RESTful APIs.
- Fluent in English.
- Preferred: Experience with Docker & Kubernetes.
