We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our global security strategy and ensure the protection of our information, systems, and data assets across the business. This a great opportunity to lead Information Security at a global technology company, where security is at the core of the products.

About the role

As CISO, you will be responsible for all aspects of information security risk, including setting the strategic direction for information security and managing associated roadmaps and initiatives. You will oversee governance and compliance, and you will represent Sinch with key information security vendors and key customers. In addition, you will lead and develop a world-class global team of security professionals, and you will work closely with senior leaders across the company globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global team of experienced information security professionals.
• Define and drive the enterprise-wide information security strategy, roadmap, and initiatives to mitigate evolving risks.
• Lead the security risk management program, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Protect the organization against cyber threats through advanced intelligence, prevention, detection, and incident response capabilities.
• Oversee and refine security governance, policies, and frameworks (e.g., ISMS), ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
• Manage and optimize budgets, tooling, and third-party services for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to assess risks, support secure innovation, and provide clear, actionable guidance.
• Define and report on key security KPIs, providing clear insights and updates to senior leadership and the Board.

This role is based at SINCH HQ in Stockholm, Sweden and report to the CIO, Johan Mattsson.

About you

To be successful in this role you have significant experience in this field and a big passion for Information Security. You have high level of integrity, accountability, and resilience. You have exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence executive and technical stakeholders. As this is a leadership role, where you will lead leaders, you enjoy leading teams and you are able to inspire, mentor, and build high-performing teams.

• 10+ years' experience in senior information security leadership roles, ideally with global responsibility.
• Leadership experience, ideally experience of having lead leaders.
• Proven track record in managing security within complex, fast-paced, and technology-driven environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security, software development lifecycles, and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of global security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO27001, SOC2, NIST CSF) and privacy laws.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM or equivalent.
• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
