Oracle DevOps Engineer – Day Rate Contract (Dublin | Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite)
6-Month Initial Contract | High Likelihood of Extension
We’re seeking an experienced Oracle DevOps Engineer to join a leading global financial services organisation on a long-term project in Dublin. This role sits within the Finance Technology function, supporting core finance systems and platforms that span general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax, profitability, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
You’ll be part of a global delivery team working on a strategic technology platform with a strong roadmap for ongoing enhancements. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and technically advanced — ideal for someone who thrives on automation, stability, and performance at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance tools and integrations across the SDLC pipeline (Jenkins, Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, Datical).
- Troubleshoot and optimise CI/CD environments to improve system reliability and user satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain automation for build, deployment, and configuration management.
- Plan and manage infrastructure migrations (including Oracle Databases to Exadata Service).
- Create and maintain runbooks, documentation, and support materials.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure high availability and operational excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in DevOps and CI/CD automation (Jenkins, Ansible, Datical essential).
- Strong background in Oracle database deployment automation or other major RDBMS platforms.
- Proficient with SDLC pipelines and tools (Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory).
- Scripting experience with PL/SQL for large-scale databases (performance tuning, partitioning, indexing).
- Familiarity with Agile development practices (Scrum).
- Solid communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting mission-critical systems in a financial or enterprise-scale environment.
Desirable:
- Unix Shell scripting and Autosys Job Scheduler.
- Data modelling and database design exposure.
- Experience with SonarQube, Splunk, or full-stack development (Angular, Java).
- Prior experience in banking, treasury, or regulatory reporting environments.
