SC Braga is hiring a Data Analyst to support strategic decisions and performance through data insights.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards to support the technical and tactical analysis of SC Braga’s professional football operations, integrating both team and individual performance metrics.

• Produce reports and visualizations that facilitate decision-making by the sporting direction, coaching staff and performance departments.

• Integrate, process, and validate data from multiple sources (tracking, GPS, match events, video analysis, technical reports, among others).

• Ensure the implementation and promotion of best practices in the collection, structuring, and storage of sports data, guaranteeing consistency and reliability inall analyses.

• Contribute to the continuous development of the club’s data ecosystem by proposing improvements to processes, metrics, and analytical tools.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a professional football environment (clubs, federations, or sports analytics companies) is highly valued.

• Strong technical and tactical understanding of the game, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (SQL, Python, and/or equivalent).

• Solid experience in data visualization and dashboard development (preferably using Tableau or similar tools).

• Experience in consuming and integrating data via APIs (e.g., tracking, match events, GPS platforms, etc.).

• High analytical rigor and critical thinking in data validation, processing, and interpretation.

• Ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Autonomy to manage analytical projects end-to-end, from data collection to the delivery of visual solutions and reports.

• Strong collaborative skills within a multidisciplinary environment, working closely with various stakeholders across the first team structure.
