Full Stack Engineer

Location: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Adelaide (2 days WFH per week)

Contract Length: 12 months with view to extend for another 12 months

Citizenship: Australian Citizenship Required

BLACKROC is proud to be partnering with a large-scale organisation to recruit a Full Stack Engineer on a long-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer who thrives in modern cloud environments and enjoys solving complex challenges in a collaborative Agile setting.

Role Overview

You’ll work on designing and developing full-stack solutions that support high-impact programs. The role involves end-to-end development, from API design and CI/CD automation to containerised deployments and infrastructure-as-code.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop secure, high-performing applications using React, TypeScript, and Golang.
• Design scalable solutions leveraging AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or GitLab.
• Ensure software meets accessibility and security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA and Business Analysts.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience building APIs with Golang and TypeScript (REST or GraphQL).
• Cloud and IaC experience with AWS and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Strong knowledge of front-end frameworks (React) and accessibility standards.
• Experience in automated testing and DevOps practices.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with React Native.
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility compliance.
• Database experience with Postgres or MySQL.
