Your new role
- Level 2 and 3 support for a global IT environment
- Managing Cisco and Fortinet platforms for data centers, SDWAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi
- Monitoring system health and updating disaster recovery documentation
- Identifying and implementing system improvements
- Researching and recommending new technologies and services
- Upgrading systems to meet cybersecurity maturity standards
- Keeping documentation and SOPs sharp and relevant.
What you'll need to succeed
- Fortinet, Cisco, and Azure networking expertise
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiAnalyzer
- Familiarity with SolarWinds or similar monitoring tools
- Deep understanding of IP/TCP/UDP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, DMVPN/ADVPN
- Knowledge of SNMPv3, NetFlow, AVC, NBAR, and performance monitoring
- Comfort with encryption protocols like IPSEC/IKE, 802.1x, RADIUS, TACACS+, SSL/TLS, EAP
- Technical mastery of relevant tools and technologies
- Operational experience with global network deployments
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to juggle BAU and project work with precision
- Cybersecurity awareness and proactive vulnerability mitigation
- Cisco certification (CCNA or equivalent)
- Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance (AGSVA). Candidates without the required clearance will not be considered.
- Location: Applicants must be based in Canberra (ACT) and able to work from the local office, as the role involves regular collaboration and team interaction
