Frontend Developer (Hibrido 3x em Aveiro)

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Frontend Developer with expertise in Angular to join the our team. This role is crucial for the evolution and maintenance of our Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency in UI component implementation. The ideal candidate will work closely with UX/UI designers, product development teams, and other

stakeholders to enhance and support the integration of the Design System across multiple digital products.

As part of the Experience and Product Design team, you will contribute to developing reusable UI components in Angular, integrate them into our existing framework (FUXI), and support engineering teams in their implementation. Your work will directly impact the user experience across our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement high-quality, reusable UI components in Angular (version 16 and above) based on UX/UI specifications.
• Maintain and evolve the existing Design System, ensuring adherence to design and accessibility standards.
• Provide support and guidance to development teams integrating Design System components.
• Ensure proper versioning, lifecycle management, and documentation of UI components.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional and scalable components.
• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless integration of the developed frontend components.
• Optimize performance and usability across different platforms and devices.
• Contribute to the delivery pipeline, package management, and deployment of frontend components.
• Support usability testing processes, incorporating feedback into component improvements.
• Use Storybook to develop, test, and document UI components in isolation to ensure consistency and quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in frontend development, with a focus on Angular (version 16 and above).
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture and Design Systems.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., NgRx).
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and package management.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with frontend frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap).
• Familiarity with best practices for accessibility (WCAG) and performance.
• Knowledge of UX principles and usability testing.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Fluent in English.
