Our client (Software Company) is looking for an experienced Information Security Officer with demonstrable knowledge of the SURF Framework and experience within an educational environment.

As an Information Security Officer, you will bring structure to documentation, processes, and systems. You will conduct a fit-gap analysis, identify areas for improvement, and implement improvements where possible.

You work independently but coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and colleagues within Functional Management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a fit-gap analysis of existing documentation and procedures compared to CMM3;
• Structure, update, and optimize documentation and policies;
• Contribute to closing identified gaps in processes and systems;
• Improve the resource management process and information security measures;
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance integration and alignment;
• Ensure compliance with CMM3 guidelines and the SURF Framework;
• Prepare for and guide internal and external audits;
• Advise on risks and appropriate mitigation measures;
• Report on progress and compliance to relevant stakeholders.

Requirments

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within IT or Information Security;
• Demonstrable knowledge of the SURF Framework and/or ISO 27001;
• Experience with fit-gap analyses, process optimization, and documentation management;
• Experience within an educational institution is a plus;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently;
• Proactive, structured, and analytical mindset;
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
