Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure automation, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and container orchestration. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a deep understanding of DevOps principles, infrastructure as code, cloud-native systems, and monitoring/observability. You will be instrumental in optimizing our deployment pipelines, improving system reliability, and mentoring DevOps team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Lead the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and repeatable software deployments
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Automate system provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or custom scripting
- Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications (Docker, Helm, etc.)
- Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog
- Collaborate with developers, QA, security, and other stakeholders to streamline the software delivery lifecycle
- Drive cost optimization, infrastructure resilience, and performance improvements
- Own and manage incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem reporting
- Establish and enforce DevOps best practices including GitOps, release strategies, and disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional training and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering / Infrastructure Engineering experience
- Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Proven expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and container technologies (Docker)
- Proficient in writing IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar
- Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker
- Experience with Linux systems administration, networking, and security best practices
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and IAM
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills / Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, or GCP Professional DevOps Engineer
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul)
- Familiarity with serverless frameworks (Lambda, Cloud Functions, etc.)
- Experience supporting microservices and distributed systems at scale
- Exposure to compliance standards (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA)
- Experience in FinTech, SaaS, e-commerce, or other high-scale environments
