ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about digital marketing and have a knack for turning ideas into results? We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing & Digital department. This role plays a key role in building and maintaining all Melbourne Football Club digital platforms, while providing support with broader marketing functions including campaign management and execution.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing & Brand Manager, the key areas of responsibilities will include:
- Manage and maintain all club digital platforms, including melbournefc.com.au and the official Melbourne Football Club app, ensuring Melbourne Football Club’s digital presence is in line with industry best practice.
- Build and deliver consumer communications to members and fans, including management and communication of the club’s eDM calendar
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, working to provide strategic digital marketing initiatives that engage the Melbourne Football Club audience to achieve club objectives.
- Create timely campaign reports to circulate with key stakeholders
- Build and execute innovative lead generation campaigns to grow club database, utilising Tradable Bits.
- Build customer journeys through the club’s marketing automation platform
- Liaise with AFL Media Support, Telstra and other third parties to improve and optimise club websites and other digital platforms
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have a minimum of two years' experience in marketing, backed by a tertiary qualification in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field. You’ll bring a strong understanding of UX and website design, along with hands-on experience running innovative digital campaigns across Meta platforms. You know how to use marketing automation tools (ideally Iterable), can manage competing deadlines, and contribute to campaigns that make a lasting impact. You’re organised, creative, and confident working in a fast-paced, agile environment where things move quickly and collaboration is key.
You’re a strong communicator who enjoys working with others and building great relationships across teams. You’re curious, open to feedback, and always looking for ways to grow. Most importantly, you have a solid understanding of the AFL landscape and a genuine passion for the game.
