Network Engineer – Colocation / Hosting | Frankfurt (Hybrid)
We are currently partnered with a colocation and hosting provider based in Frankfurt, with a great reputation in the data centre and carrier space. They operate one of the most reliable Network infrastructures in the region. With continuous investment in technology and training, this is a place where network professionals can grow and develop their skills & career.
They are now looking for a Network Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will be part of the network operations group, supporting critical infrastructure across multiple sites while gaining exposure to large-scale routing environments and carrier-grade technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for the company’s core network infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability across all services.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise routing and switching equipment across Juniper, Arista, and Cisco platforms.
- Handle incident response, fault diagnosis, and escalation as required.
- Work closely with senior engineers on customer projects, BGP peering, and routing optimisation.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, assist with network monitoring, and contribute to process improvements.
Skills and Experience
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with full IP routing tables and strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and general routing principles.
- Practical experience with Juniper MX or Arista devices. Candidates from a Cisco background are welcome, provided they have a flexible, multi-vendor mindset.
- Background in carrier, ISP, or colocation environments – enterprise-only experience is not a fit for this role.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication skills in English; German is a plus but not essential.
What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary between €60,000 and €75,000 per year.
- Structured training and development plan with clear progression from Junior to Medior to Senior Engineer.
- Hybrid working with 2–3 days per week on-site in Frankfurt.
- Free lunch every Tuesday and Wednesday, along with a supportive, team-focused environment.
- Potential annual bonuses based on performance.
