Department Head – Data Intelligence & Analytics

Role Summary:

Doha Bank is seeking a seasoned technology leader with deep expertise in Data Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, and Governance to head its Data Intelligence & Analytics department. This strategic role is pivotal in shaping the Bank’s data ecosystem, ensuring robust architecture, governance, and delivery of actionable insights across all business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the Bank’s enterprise-wide data strategy in collaboration with the CDIO.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architecture and technology platforms.
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Oversee data integration, migration, and automation initiatives across the enterprise.
• Drive the development of secure, high-performance data infrastructure aligned with regulatory and business needs.
• Partner with IT and digital transformation teams to build advanced analytics capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions and architecture blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with QCB and other regulatory bodies through robust data controls.
• Promote innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies in data and analytics.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, architects, and analysts.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Technology, Data Science, or Management is preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in banking or financial services, with a strong focus on data architecture, technology platforms, and governance.
• Proven experience in leading enterprise data programs and building scalable data solutions.
• Strong understanding of big data technologies, cloud platforms, and data security.
• Expertise in data governance, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
