Network Support Engineer
Location: London | Hybrid (2–3 days in office)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + On call Bonus
We’re working with a fast-growing global technology company that provides high-performance connectivity and collaboration services to some of the world’s leading entertainment and media organisations. They’re now looking for a Network Support Engineer to join their London team and play a key role in supporting critical network services and bespoke technology platforms.
The Role
This role is split between network support (60%) and technical/product support (40%). You’ll look after customer networks while also troubleshooting and supporting bespoke platforms (training provided). It’s an excellent opportunity to stay hands-on with networking while broadening your skills into wider systems support.
What You’ll Do as the Network Support Engineer
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot customer networks.
- Configure and support switches, routers, and firewalls across multiple vendor technologies (Fortinet, Arista, Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint, etc.).
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on bespoke platforms (Linux exposure a plus).
- Provide excellent end-to-end customer support and manage SLAs.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to improve services.
- Take part in an on-call rota (with additional pay).
What We’re Looking For in the Network Support Engineer
- Strong experience in network support/engineering (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Background in an MSP/ISP or service provider environment supporting multiple customers.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, VPN setup, and network security.
- Strong personality and communication skills are essential – this role requires someone confident, proactive, and able to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ideal for candidates moving from a NOC Engineer role looking to step up.
