About the Role

A Senior Java Developer position is available with a well established product based business that builds and enhances software used globally to keep people safe at work. This is a newly created role and has been introduced to strengthen capability as the company modernises its platforms and continues to invest in new product development.

You will work closely with a highly supportive Team Lead and CTO with a focus on hands on coding, solution design, and driving quality through secure, API first development and integration testing. Your technical input will be valued and you will have a genuine influence on how solutions are delivered.

If you enjoy contributing ideas, working end to end, and being part of a team delivering software that genuinely matters, this role is worth exploring. This position is predominantly office based, with flexibility for occasional work from home where aligned with project needs.

What You Will Bring

• Eight or more years of commercial Java experience

• Five or more years of experience with React and modern frontend delivery

• Experience with microservices based environments

• Strong API first mindset for application design

• Strong understanding of authentication and secure software practices including Auth and ORF Security

• Experience mentoring others or operating at Senior or Team Lead level

• Some commercial experience with Angular over a period of a few years

Nice to Have

• Oracle experience

• Elasticsearch exposure

• Strong understanding of delivering RESTful APIs in production environments
