We are looking for a Python Cloudera Developer to join us on a hybrid project in Lisbon and contribute to the development and optimization of data pipelines and containerized applications. You will collaborate with a team of 5 developers, reporting to the Data Domain Manager, to ensure code quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and refactor existing code developed by data engineers to improve performance and quality.
• Establish and maintain modular, clean development standards in an Agile environment.
• Write and execute unit, integration, performance, and regression tests to ensure code robustness.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to enhance data pipelines and structures.
• Migrate and ensure compatibility with Python 3, maintaining existing code.
• Implement Continuous Integration (CI) using Jenkins and SonarQube.
• Apply SOLID principles of object-oriented design to ensure maintainability.
• Work with Cloudera and big data environments to manage and optimize data.
• Develop, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven Python development experience with strong skills in object-oriented programming and modular design.
• Expertise in code refactoring, code quality improvement, and distributed computing.
• Proficiency in Python 3 migration challenges and solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and SonarQube.
• Docker experience for containerized applications.
• Familiarity with Cloudera and Hadoop for data modeling and processing.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and strong communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with OpenShift.
• Exposure to big data environments and distributed computing principles.

Languages:

• English: B2 or higher required.
