Data Engineer

The DataEx team is at the heart of data processing, scheduling, and orchestrating data workflows to run seamlessly. Like a heart that pumps blood, when something in the processing doesn’t work, it’s the heart that reveals the issue to our users. Historically, DataEx has managed the orchestration and scheduling of data pipelines while owning the developer data experience, which has led the team to be heavily involved in daily internal user support. This role requires a deep understanding of data pipelines, backend systems, and the unique data ecosystem. To enhance user support and streamline our processes, we’re looking for innovative solutions, such as AI tools and improved documentation, to enable self-service for common queries.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of data engineering and backend experience, coupled with a highly analytical approach and a user-focused mindset, showing genuine compassion for our internal developers whose productivity we aim to enhance. Creativity is essential for identifying and implementing solutions that provide both immediate and long-term support, ultimately reducing the team's ongoing burden.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage orchestration and scheduling of data pipelines.
• Provide daily internal user support for data workflow issues.
• Analyze backend systems for efficiency and performance.
• Develop innovative user support solutions using AI tools.
