We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our Space & Earth Observation team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge work in the Space and Geo domain and you will be collaborating with international partners on a variety of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have strong background in C and C/C++ and a solid understanding of the technologies outlined below.
Your future responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and maintaining high quality software applications using C and C/C++, and other relevant programming languages as required.
- Performing thorough testing of your code, ensuring functionality, performance, and resolving any identified issues or bugs.
- Effectively communicating progress, results, and challenges in daily meetings with consortium partners and end customer.
- Producing comprehensive and clear documentation for all development work, ensuring traceability and knowledge sharing.
- 4+ years of experience in software development.
- C and C/C++ development skills are highly valued. Experience with similar languages or a willingness to learn is also appreciated.
- Excellent teamwork and critical thinking skills to address complex challenges effectively.
- Fluency in Estonian and English.
- Familiarity with Agile principles and tools, or an interest in learning and applying them.
- Bonus: Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux CLI, Jupyter Notebooks, ESA SNAP, QGIS, Google Earth Engine or any other geospatial processing tools, also knowledge of Electronics and Mechanics is a plus but not mandatory.
