ReOrbit is looking for a motivated Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of space mission related work.
This includes collaborating with talented teams and partners, and managing a portfolio of project activity across the company. This role is based in Helsinki, Finland, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute toward an expanding Programmes function, and to grow together with ReOrbit on its upward trajectory.
Responsibilities
ReOrbit builds the foundation for the next generation of space applications by transforming satellites into truly intelligent, interconnected platforms, defined by software. Our satellite design philosophy revolves around the idea that satellites must network, communicate with each other and thus improve mission efficiency. How can this be achieved? Thanks to a flexible software-first architecture, where all these aspects are dealt with upfront in the mission concept, as integrated functionalities.
ReOrbit’s top-notch team of software engineers and system architects develop in-house software, procure hardware from the best-in-class suppliers, and seamlessly integrate the components to create flexible and secure satellites. Today, we are a rapidly growing company building a very strong multidisciplinary team to support our activities. We are headquartered in Helsinki, Finland with a subsidiary in Bariloche, Argentina.

This includes collaborating with talented teams and partners, and managing a portfolio of project activity across the company. This role is based in Helsinki, Finland, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute toward an expanding Programmes function, and to grow together with ReOrbit on its upward trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Project management leadership of space mission related work, and bid activities, across ReOrbit, working closely with the Engineering and Business Development teams. In particular:
- Defining and managing project scope and deliverables
- Developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule
- Managing project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues
- Effectively communicating project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders
- Capturing technical and financial progress via monthly reporting
- Coordinating with the Procurement team on project activities
- 5+ years of project management experience on space related projects, or in similar engineering-based environments
- Evidence of delivering projects to schedule and budget, including aspects such as team and customer management, schedules, risk management, financial control, etc
- Degree in a technical discipline, and / or past experience in an engineering related domain
- Motivated and eager to contribute, learn, and progress with ReOrbit as a company and team
