Program Manager - Hardware

We are hiring a Program Manager – Hardware to join our team and oversee multiple projects from concept to market. The role involves managing several projects simultaneously, leading cross-disciplinary teams across electronics, mechanical, and firmware. The Program Manager will work closely with R&D and production teams, following the Waterfall (Gate Model) methodology, and ensuring effective coordination across projects. The ideal candidate takes ownership, drives decision-making, and applies structured planning, problem-solving, and clear communication in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned programs from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on scope, timeline, budget, and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across disciplines and locations, as well as external partners, manufacturers, and suppliers, to ensure aligned execution.
  • Maintain focus on delivering high-quality end products while actively identifying opportunities to reduce production and maintenance costs.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels while understanding customer needs and translating them into program outcomes.
  • Travel to AutoStore facilities in Norway 2–3 times per month to ensure close coordination and progress tracking of key programs.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project or product management, or engineering. Experience with robotics, automation, or complex product development is advantageous.
  • Technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven track record managing multiple complex projects; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Expertise in Waterfall (Gate Model) methodologies, with familiarity in Agile methodologies considered an advantage.

Location for this role is in our offices either in Nedre Vats (Vindafjord), Lysaker (Oslo), or Stavanger.
