Infatuated is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-profile, long-term project for a European Institution. The role focuses on analyzing, optimizing, and maintaining the performance, stability, and scalability of complex enterprise systems and applications running across a hybrid infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of systems, networks, and applications.
- Establish and maintain infrastructure performance baselines, detect bottlenecks, and propose sustainable improvements.
- Perform load and stress testing, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
- Work closely with system, network, and database teams to ensure reliability and resilience across all environments.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and diagnostic tools, automate checks, and ensure proactive issue detection.
- Document procedures, performance standards, and system configurations for long-term operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Infrastructure or Systems Engineer in large, complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server administration and performance tuning.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and diagnostic tools such as iostat, vmstat, htop, Nagios, and JMeter.
- Understanding of networks, firewalls, load balancers, and storage systems (Cisco, Fortinet, F5, Nutanix).
- Familiarity with enterprise applications such as IBM WebSphere, FileNet, and Apache.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in English.
Nice to have: scripting or automation experience, and previous work in secure or regulated environments.
