Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on and autonomous Cyber Security Expert to join our client’s cybersecurity team in Luxembourg. This senior officer-level position involves driving and overseeing cybersecurity activities, supporting IT and business teams, and ensuring a secure operational environment across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee security in the context of IT projects.
• Conduct architecture reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments.
• Participate in local and global cybersecurity programs and initiatives.
• Perform BAU cybersecurity activities and interact with SOC teams.
• Support audit and compliance activities as an auditee.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance to IT and business teams.
• Support service lines with cybersecurity best practices.
• Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in IT or Cybersecurity.
• Intermediate to advanced cyber/information security skillset.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and EDR/XDR tools.
• Solid understanding of IT fundamentals (software, networking, databases, cloud, and IT support).
• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain security concepts.
• Proactive, independent, and eager to continuously improve technical skills.
