Cloud Engineer

Location: On-site (Berne, Switzerland)

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements in terms of feasibility, complexity, and impact on existing or planned systems, as well as on standards and guidelines
  • Plan, assess, and develop the API and automation infrastructure, and design the cloud service catalog
  • Develop the necessary interfaces for integration with the service portal and development teams
  • Define appropriate methods, techniques, standards, and tools to configure system and interface operations
  • Implement, configure, test, and deploy the developed concepts into production
  • Define key parameters and escalation procedures to describe service levels (SLAs)
  • Transfer systems to the production environment
  • Maintain system documentation and diagrams up to date
  • Analyze failures and operational disruptions
  • Adopt and monitor corrective actions
  • Actively participate in planning and collaboration following the SCRUM methodology


Requirements:

  • Experience in system design and architecture
  • Experience with the Open Service Broker API
  • Excellent understanding of how a cloud provider delivers services and how these are represented in a service catalog
  • Experience in system design and architecture, with the ability to understand complex architectures
  • Experience in implementing APIs according to the OpenAPI specification
  • Experience with HTTP-based interfaces and formats such as JSON or XML
  • Excellent knowledge of PHP, Python, PowerShell, or an equivalent language
  • Strong proficiency in web development with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Experience with SQL databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge and experience in event-driven / microservices architectures, as well as technologies such as Go and Kafka
  • Experience with agile methodologies (SAFe / SCRUM) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Excellent written communication skills in German
  • Good communication skills in English
