Back-end PHP/Laravel Developer (AWS, Web & Mobile Applications)

Fully remote | Outside IR35 c.£450-475 per day

High growth employer is looking for a skilled PHP/Laravel Developer to join the development team.

This is a hands-on, full-stack role where you’ll work closely with the product manager and platform team to maintain and build robust, scalable solutions for business-critical web and mobile applications, hosted in AWS.

As you’ll likely be the most senior developer on the team with this skill set, it is important that you can work under your own steam and with minimal support. During quieter periods, there is scope to take on additional projects using C# and Microsoft Azure within the wider development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality, scalable applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Manage deployments, integrations, and monitoring within AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3).
• Optimise application performance, security, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions.
• Outside of key delivery timelines, take on additional projects within the wider development team, which would utilise C# / .NET and Azure.

Required Skills & Experience

• Highly skilled in PHP and Laravel
• Experience with mobile app integration (iOS/Android back-ends)
• Experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Solid understanding of API design and integrations
• Additionally, a good level of skill in C# / .Net and Azure (Function Apps, App Services) would widen the scope of the work you could perform within the team and lengthen the contract opportunity.
• Good understanding of security, authentication, and performance optimisation
• Available to start something in early November
