Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job Title: Network Infrastructure Technical Lead (Cisco ACI Specialist)

Location: Remote – Argentina or Columbia

Rate: $25 – $27 USD per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Customer Delivery Engineering Technical Leader with deep expertise in Cisco ACI and Nexus technologies to join a high-performing delivery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical leadership in fabric design, implementation, and migration within complex ACI environments. This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, automation proficiency, and the ability to lead and coordinate engineering initiatives effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Cisco ACI environments, including APIC, contracts, policies, and multi-site architecture.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues related to fabric discovery, endpoint learning, Bridge Domains, Static Bindings, and L3Out configurations.
• Perform Nexus configuration and troubleshooting across 2k/5k/7k/9k series with advanced knowledge of NX-OS, vPC, FabricPath, VXLAN, and EVPN.
• Oversee migration and integration projects, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
• Develop and execute Python scripts and automation workflows for configuration management and ACI migrations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project delivery, documentation, and operational excellence.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

• CCIE Data Center certification (or CCIE Routing & Switching with proven ACI experience).
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco ACI architecture, APIC configuration, and multi-site deployments.
• Proven experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting for Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Advanced understanding of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, route maps, redistribution, and peering).
• Strong skills in Python scripting, automation tools (NSO, Postman, Insomnia), and data formats (XML, JSON).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience leading technical teams or projects.
• Availability to work 2 overnight shifts per week and occasional weekend maintenance windows (maximum 40 hours per week).
